The Legend of Tangkuban Perahu

Once upon a time, in West Java, there lived a wise king who had a beautiful daughter. Her name was Dayang Sumbi. She liked weaving very much. One day, she was weaving a cloth. Suddenly, one of her tool fell to the ground. She was very tired at the time so she was too lazy to take it. Then she just shouted outloud.

“Anybody there? Bring me my tool. I will give you special present. If you are female, I will consider you as my sister. If you are male, I will marry you”

Suddenly a male dog named Tumang came. He brought her falling tool. Dayang Sumbi was very surprised. She regretted her words but she could not deny it. So she had to marry Tumang and leave her father. Then they lived in a small village. Several months later they had a son. His name was Sangkuriang. He was a handsome and healthy boy. Sangkuriang liked hunting very much. He often went hunting to the wood using his arrow. When he went hunting Tumang always with him.

One day Dayang Sumbi wanted to eat deer’s heart.
“Sangkuriang, will you hunt for a deer today? I want to eat a deer’s heart so much.” Asked Dayang Sumbi.
“Of course, mom. Whatever you want, I will give it for you.” Replied Sangkuriang. “Tumang, where are you? Come on, we have to hunt for a deer.”

Then Sangkuriang went to the wood with his arrow and his faithful dog, Tumang. But after several days in the wood Sangkuriang could not find any deer. They were all disappeared. Sangkuriang was exhausted and desperate.
“Oh God, where can I find a deer? I don’t want to dissapoint my mom. Oh! I know,”
Sangkuriang then called Tumang and kill him. He did not know that Tumang was his father. At home he gave Tumang’s heart to her mother.
“Sangkuriang, are you sure it’s a deer’s heart? You can’t lie to me! It is Tumang’s heart, isn’t it? Why did you kill him?” said Dayang Sumbi full of angry. She hit Sangkuriang at his head. Sangkuriang was wounded. There was a scar in his head. She also repelled her son. Sangkuriang left her mother in sadness.

Many years passed and Sangkuriang became a strong young man. He wandered everywhere. One day he arrived at his own village but he did not realized it. There he met Dayang Sumbi. At the time Dayang Sumbi was given an eternal beauty by God, so she stayed young forever. Both of them did not know each other. So they fell in love and then they decided to marry.
But then Dayang Sumbi recognized a scar on Sangkuriang’s head.

“Sangkuriang, why there is a scar on your head?” asked Dayang Sumbi.
“Oh, when I was a child, my mom hit me on my head.” Replied him.

Dayang Sumbi was very shocked. She knew that Sangkuriang was his son. It was impossible for them to marry. She told him but he did not believe her. Sangkuriang wished that they married soon. So Dayang Sumbi gave him a very difficult condition.

“Sangkuriang, if you want to marry me. I have a condition for you. I want you to build a lake and a big boat in one night. I need them for our honeymoon. Can you do that?”
“What! Impossible!. But, it’s okay. For you, I will do it. I can do that!”. Sangkuriang agreed.
With the help of genies and spirits, Sangkuriang tried to build them. By midnight he had finished the lake by building a dam in Citarum river. Then he started building the boat. It was almost dawn when he nearly finished it. Meanwhile Dayang Sumbi kept watching on them. She was very worried when she knew this. So she made lights in the east.

“Huh? Troops, stop your work! It’s already dawn. The sun will start to rise. Quickly, go home, go home!” said the chair of the genies. They left Sangkuriang alone.

“Sangkuriang, you can’t finish my condition. It’s mean that you can’t marry me. You know?” said Dayang Sumbi.

“You cheated! You maked the light, so that my troops go. Because of that, I could not fulfill your condition.” Shouted Sangkuriang.

Sangkuriang was very angry. So he kicked the boat. Then the boat turned out to be Mount Tangkuban Perahu. It means boat upside down. From a distant it looks like a boat upside down.

So this is my memorable event. It was such an embarrassing event in my life, but a little bit funny.

It happened when I was in junior high school 2 Bandung. it was raining, and I success to make the field in my school slippery.
lets me show you my school’s field look like.

so, it is a large field and it was slippery.
One day, it was Thursday, I have free time in the seni budaya lesson. So, I and my friends were playing around outside the class. Played with rain, make our uniform wet, and slide on the floor, okay I know we were childish, but trust me, it was fun! Firstly, we do fun with the rain in front of the class, but one with my friend asked me to move to the field so we could play freely.

And you know what? when I running to catch one of my friends, I fell off and sliding all the fields.

And I more embarrassed because half of the students in their class were going outside to saw what happened in the field. Maybe I make a few sounds when I fell, I didnt know.

And all of the students who see I fell in the field were laughing at me, and of course, I felt embarrassed but it was fun!

so, I hit my friends who laugh at me, and they run away from me, and this is it! my memorable events.

Honestly, I couldn’t forget those events, because it was an embarrassing moment, but funny one that I had in junior high school with my classmate. i love and i miss them, so much.

The gharial (Gavialis gangeticus), also known as the gavial, fish-eating crocodile, or ghariyal is a crocodilian in the family Gavialidae, and is native to the northern part of the Indian subcontinent. kingdom of gharial crocodile is Animalia, they phylum is chordata, they class is reptilia, they order is crocodilia, they family is gavialidae, they genus is gavialis, and they species is G.gangeticus.

The male and famale gharial crocodile have the same weight, it is 160 kg. But, the lenght of each other is different, the male have 3 until 5 meters of lenght and the famale have 2,7 until 3,75 meters of lenght. They have a thin jaw that have function to adaptation for fish eaters. In the jaw, there are 110 teeth to catch fish, which is their main food. The gharial crocodile’s body have a thick side to making them able to survive in hot or cold weather. On the tip of the jaw of male crocodile, there is Gahar that is used to manufacture sounds during courtship. But the famale have not Gahar. The young gharial crocodile have strong legs, so they can walk on both feet but when they fully grown, they cannot raise their body above the ground on land and they have to move about by sliding on their bellies. However, once in the water, they are extremely agile. The tail type of gharials crocodile is literal tail. Extraordinary maneuvering tools in habitats in water.

The gharial crocodile live in Nepal, India subcontinent. We can find they in the lakes in Nepal from the Irrawaddy River in the east to the Indus River in the west. The gharial crocodile only live in tropical place and in the rivers that flow with high sand embankments that they use for sunbathing and building nests.

The gharial crocodile is the one of carnivore animal. The Young gharial eats small fish, frogs, tadpoles, and insects. Adults also feed on larger fish and crustaceans. Gharial do not chew their prey, rather, they swallow it whole and . They consume it for everyday they want. Because, fish just filling for a while. They don’t attack humans, but if there a body floating on the surface of the water they will eat it. For example, during a funeral ceremony in the Ganggang River in Nepal, they will eat the dead body.

The gharial’s life cycle begins with the mating of a female and a male. Females become sexually mature once they reach about three meters in length. Often this occurs after the female reaches ten years in age. The males will protect a harem (females that he mates with) of a few females. The mating season lasts for two months, occurring in November, December, and lasting into January. The females begin nesting in the dry season during the months of March, April, and May. These nests (holes in the sand) are constructed in the riverine sand banks which become available during the dry months. Each nest can contain between thirty to fifty eggs, with the average being thirty-seven. The gharial’s eggs are the largest of any crocodilian species. On average they weigh 160 grams. After an incubation period of eighty-three to ninety-four days, the young gharials hatch and make their way out of the nest. Unlike other crocodilian species, the mother has not been witnessed helping the young into the water. This may be the result of their needle-sharp teeth and that they have very narrow jaws. Receive protection around the nesting area for a period of time after hatching. so they were not taken directly by their mother. In the wild the gharials can live to be between forty and sixty years old.

The gharials crocodile often open his mouth for a long time for lowering his hot body temperature, because he can’t do activity, digest, etc. If his body temperature is above 30-32 degrees Celsius. Other than that, the gharials crocodile always close the nostrils while diving in the water because this animal breathing apparatus is the same as other reptile animals namely the nose, throat and lungs. so when diving he will close his nostrils to prevent water from entering and the ability to close the nostrils is a feature of crocodiles.
And the most intresting habit they often Crocodiles often climb the rocks dan even a trees. They climb to find the best place to sunbathe.

Turtle are diapsids of the Testudines characterized by a special bony or  cartilaginous shell from their ribs and acting as a shield. The turtle is including a kingdom of animalia, of course, they phylum is chordata ( chordata is thye animal who include by avertebrata and invertebrata type, and they have notokorda, that is a nerve tail who have hollow space in their sistem), turtle is also include by the class of reptillia, the clade of testudinata (is the group of all tetropads with a true turtle shell)m, and the subgroups of cryptodira and pleurodira.

Let’s talk about their habit. The turtle live in almost every ocean basin throughout the world, nesting on tropical and subtropical beaches. They migrate long distances to feed, often crossing entire oceans. Some loggerheads nest in Japan and migrate to Baja California Sur, Mexico to forage before returning home again.

Specifically, what kind of jaw it has for masticating (chewing) food, where it lives and what food sources are available to it. some of the turtle is a carnivores, while the others follow a strictly vegetariaan diet and most of them is the omnivores, eating both animals and plants. A turtle diet is different according to their species. Sea turtle may eat seagrass, algae, sponges, sea squirts, squid, shrimp, crabs, jellyfish, cuttlefish or sea cucumbers. A freshwater turtle’s diet is just as varied and may include worms, snails, insect larvae, aquatic insects, crustaceans, water plants, algae and fallen fruit. Some species of freshwater turtles, such as snapping turtles, also eat small mammals, frogs, snakes, fish and even other, smaller turtles, according to Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. The terrestial turtle is also eat variety food from earthworms, grubs, snails, beetles and caterpillars to grasses, fruit, berries, mushrooms and flowers.

the turtle life cycle is starts when the female lays its egg on the nesting beach, usually in the tropics. From six weeks to two months later (depending on the species), a tiny hatchling makes its way to the surface of the sand and heads to the water, dodging every predator imaginable. In their life cycle, there is periode named ” THE LOST YEARS “, it is a priode when the turtles have a movements during the phase of hatchling. They will swim until they return to coastal waters to forage as juvaniles may be as long as a decade. Following the “lost years”, when they have grown to approximately the size of a dinner plate, their pelagic (open ocean) phase comes to an end and they return to coastal waters where they forage and continue to mature. During this time, these reptiles are highly mobile, foraging over large areas of ocean.

Ten to fifty years after hatching (depending on the species), adult reach sexual maturity and are able to mate. Once they reach sexual maturity they will migrate to beaches around the world to nest. Only females will come ashore to lay eggs, generally in the area where they were born. Most species will nest several times during a nesting season every 2-4 years over the course of their lifetime.

Prof. Dr. Ing. H. Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie was born in Parepare, South Sulawesi, June 25th 1936. He was our third president in Indonesia. Before that, BJ.Habibie served to be the seventh vice president replaced Try Sutrisno.

He was study in Senior HIgh Scholl of Kristen dago, continue his study in mechanical engineering science at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia Bandung (now Bandung Institute of Technology) in 1954. In 1955-1965, Habibie continued his aeronautical engineering studies, aircraft construction specialization, at RWTH Aachen, West Germany, receiving an ingenieur diploma in 1960 and a degree Doctor of Ingenieur in 1965 with the title Summa Cum Laude.

Habibie had worked at Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm, an airline based in Hamburg, Germany. Habibie then served as State Minister of Research and Technology from 1978 to March 1998. The breakthrough of B. J. Habibie when he was Minister of Research and Technology began with his desire to implement the “Vision of Indonesia”. According to Habibie, Indonesia’s leaps in the “Indonesian Vision” are based on research and technology, particularly in the strategic industries managed by PT. IPTN, PINDAD, and PT. PAL

B.J.Habibie died at Gatot Subroto Army Hospital on September 11, 2019 at 18.05 WIB due to his illness (heart failure) and age factors. Previously, Habibie had undergone intensive care since September 1, 2019. [40] He was then buried next to his wife in Kalibata Heroes Cemetery slot 120 on September 12, 2019 at 14.00 WIB.

Once, Batara Guru, the Lord of Gods, was building himself a new palace in heaven. He sent word to all the gods in heaven that each must bring a big stone for the foundation of the palace. Everyone agreed to obey the command except the Snake God.

When the Messenger God came to him, the Snake God was sitting sadly and said: “As you can see, I have neither arms nor legs. How could I carry a stone?” As he spoke, three large teardrops rolled down of his cheeks. When the teardrops feel to the ground, they turned into three white eggs. “Take those eggs to the Lord of Gods and tell him exactly what happened,” the Messenger God told the Snake God.

So, the Snake God set off for the royal palace holding the three eggs carefully in his mouth. On his way, he met the Great Eagle. “Where are you going, Snake God?” asked the Great Eagle. However the Snake God’s mouth was so full of eggs that he could not answer. The Great Eagle repeated his question twice more and, getting no answer, became very angry. He started pecking the Snake God on the head. This hurt so much that the Snake God gave two loud cries, and each time he opened his mouth one of the eggs fell out.

As the eggs hit the ground, they broke open and from one egg came a piglet and from another one came a rat. The two are bad because they damage rice in the rice field and hillside terraces.

The Snake God was sorry he had lost the two eggs, but by good luck one still remained safe in his mouth. He brought this last egg to the Lord of Gods. As he arrived at the palace, he told everything and kneeled: “Forgive me Lord of Gods, I only can give you this egg.” The Lord of Gods ordered him to keep the egg until it hatched and then to bring him whatever came out of it.

From day to day, the egg was taken care by the Snake God. Finally, one day, the egg broke open and out of it came a beautiful baby girl. The Snake God hurried to take the baby to the Lords of Gods, who adopted the baby as his own daughter and named her Dewi Sri. She was brought up as a princess in the royal palace with all of the loving care that a daughter of Lord of Gods should have.

As the years passed, Dewi Sri grew up to be a lovely young lady. She was gentle and kindhearted as she was beautiful, and everyone who knew her loved her. The Lord of Gods himself showed her so much affection that the other gods began to fear he might want to marry her. The law said that no father could marry his daughter, not even if he was a god and she was only his adopted daughter. The gods feared that if this law was broken, the whole kingdom would be ruined. So they met secretly and decided that Dewi Sri must be killed. This decision filled them with sadness, but they thought this was the only way to save the kingdom.

Thus, one day, the gods put poison in a piece of Dewi Sri’s favorite fruit and gave it to her. Straight away after she eated the fruit she fell sick. Day by day she grew weaker and weaker, and finally she died. It was just as though the slender stalk of a young flower had gradually wilted and falled to the ground. Dewi Sri’s body was burried with royal ceremony, just beside a beautiful triple-roofed pagoda, and a royal servant was left to guard the grave and to water it daily so that flowers would grow around it.

Later on, from the grave there appeared a strange kind of plant that no one had ever seen before. This was the heavenly plant now called rice. When the Lord of Gods saw this miracle, he told the royal servant to take the rice seeds down to earth and give them to the king of the land called Pajajaran. “Tell the king,” he said, “that the seeds are a gift from me. Let his people plant them and take good care of them including saving them from the piglets and rats, so that no one need ever go hungry again, for rice is the daily staple.”

The king of Pajajaran was very happy to receive the Batara Guru’s special gift. His people received seeds and planted them both in paddy fields and on hillside terraces. They learned how to harvest the plants and how to ground them. Then a goddess from heaven came down to earth and taught all the young girls how to cook the rice and serve it in many delicious ways. The people of Pajajaran lived in peace and happiness, never lacked of foods.

Good Morning All!

Last night is the most fantastic night in my senior high school day. Right, SMAN 3 Bandung proudly present a culture fest named MARVANATA. Marvanata is one of event in SMAN 3 Bandung that was conducted hereditary from year by year. The concept of the event is a story of dewi sri. I will tell you the story of dewi sri, in other page. So, lets talk about marvanata.

Marvanata is a big event, that we have,all of student in SMAN 3 Bandung, to participate to this event. grade 12 and grade 11, grade 10, even alumnus of 3,19 is participate for this event too.

firstable, the progress of this event is , make a proposal to the principal, and when the principal accept the event, the chief executive will make some of committee, such as the committee of transport, secretary,security,consume, and others. So, in this progress, grade 10 is have a opportunity to participate in this event. The open reqruitment is held on July 24th 2019. The student who want to be a part of committee is should fill the g-form and send it later. Then, the student who had fill the g-form, will be interviewed by the senior on July 30-13th 2019.

So, all committee in in grade 10,11,12 conduct the meeting according to each division, and on August 2th 2019 all committe have a big meeting named “rapat pleno” that was discuss the progress of each division.

how about the student who don’t participate in the committte?

The student who don’t participate in the committee is also participate the event by help some division for progress such as the division of decoration who need a lot of people to make it clear. the student who not join the committee, can help this division by come to Buah Batu, the place for do the decoration, and help the things that unfinshed yet. but, for grade 10, we have othr job that we must do it perfectly. The job is we have to make a stand according to the scenary of the story of dewi sri. The scene is randomized each class, and my class had a seen of “Antaboga is crying, and his tears produce an egg, and behind the egg, thers was dewi sri” so, my class must make a stand, who can describe that scene completely.

Daily to the event, the division of Danus or Dana Usaha, was selling some snack to each class. The snack is so good, and the price is affordable for us. The division of danus is also sold the merchandise of marvanata, such as tote bad, managed, sticker, etc. And all the sale cash, is lteraly fr marvanata.

This event, is invite some famous singer to enliven the event. There is, Rizy Febian, Paungkas, Rasukma, club dangdut racun, and Nidji. There is also invite a talented student from SMAN 3 Bandung, He is giriharja and KPA.

And now, finally, the event. September 7th 2019, is the day that we waiting for that. the first thing the we do is, conduct the parade to announce that, the day we will conduct the big event in oussenif. Along the way, we echoed the jargon of marvanata, it’s sounds like “MARVANATA? SENI SASTRA BUDAYA. KAMI DARI? SMA NEGERI 3” . we walk from photos park to pussenif,the place that the event held.

the open gate is from 11.00 AM,the securitu divison already stand by in front of the gate and in the body chevk spot. the event is so fun! theres is a lot of my old friends come to Marvanata. The condition and situation was so crowded and noisy, but, all of people is having fun there, and I also happy for them.

The closing event, is closed by nidji band, there were so amazing! and dos not feel, the time is showing 23.00 PM, so we quickly clean and clear our stand, and excused to our friend, and go home safety.

And, it is our event in SMAN 3 BANDUNG. I hope you love it! because I love it soo much! Thank you marvanata! Thank you SMAN 3! Thank you all!

As you can read before. Now, i’m in the senior high school. My life is totally change 180 degrees. I have a lot of work, job, meeting, and others activity that i should do that time. Although, my activity is not too different as in thr middle school before, but i feel 24 hours in a day, is doesn’t enough at all. Also, i have an extra class after school, for about 1 hour 30 minutes if normal, and 2 hours 30 menit if i have double extra class in a day. So, i should make a simple time for myself in order to make my life is normal as a student and as a human.

So, i read some articel before i write this blog. In the articel, there is 10 time management for students effectively. There is :
